Going to the beach! (19)

Sorry if this entry sounds crazy. I typed most of it up last night but needed to pack so I didn’t have time to “post” it.

I realized this week that this was the same time I went to the beach last year

Finally completed my Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification course and took the exam! Just waiting for the results now. I don’t really know if I passed or not. Here’s hoping~~

Now I’m preparing for the beach vacation! I’m sorta sad it’s gonna be in the 70’s & 80’s instead of 90’s. I dunno. It’ll still be warm enough & all. I’m just so used to 90 degrees now thanks to that insane heat wave! Hah!

Packed goods!

I’m taking this dress to wear on the boardwalk. It’s from Yesstyle, I just haven’t had an opportunity to wear it much. Same with my coverup dress from H&M and F21 hat!

Bringing this coconut scented body splash with me! I love summer scents at summer time~

It’s sorta bittersweet being at the beach house this weekend. I really need to unwind. But I hate there’s no internet. I really need to get on top of having a semi-schedule for Tokyo (it’s in a month, gah!) Basically just something to share with my friend so she can plan her work schedule because we wanna hang out as much as possible! I miss her so much. The thought occurred to me “what if, for whatever reason, this is the last time I’ll see her?!” IMPOSSIBLE!! I think we’re tied by the red string of fate. I couldn’t imagine my life, even daily life without her there, supporting me through emails, letters, and calls.

Wow I got off track, lol! And mushy . Sorry about that. My best friend lives across an ocean. It gets hard sometimes =y. When we hang out it feels like it’s something we do routinely. It’s strange but lovely.

OK, switching to a new tangent~~~~

I picked up this lilac purple polish last week~
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in LIVELY LILAC
I already have this brand & type in another color (Whirlwind White.) It’s extremely quick drying. (my favorite type, lol) and works well as a base to go under other colors. I say under because without a top coat it does tend to chip quickly. But with a good top coat polish on top it lasts longer. This polish is pretty great for speed and application! I only put on 1 coat in the picture below! Then I topped it with a glitter top coat polish from Anna Sui….

OK that’s it, I’m off to smell like suntan oil & wear my bikini for 12 hours a day

I Saw Inception Today (62)

I saw Inception today! Sold out at an 11am Sunday show
Yeah, it lives up to the hype I think

I haven’t been online all weekend until now~~ it’s so strange~ but now that I’m on I feel there’s so much to catch up on! Geez… I dunno, I didn’t really get many of the things I wanted to get done, done, this weekend.

This week is gonna be really busy for me too. I have my cert courses + exam and then it’s off to the beach!!! So I’m not sure I’ll be around much because I might feel really tired at night? Or maybe I’ll just be really bad; looking for a distraction and avoiding things I SHOULD be doing and will blog tons! hah!

Dinner at Clyde’s (50)

Yesterday was a sorta rough day. Though the doctors said I’d be done with everything before my Japan trip, they called yesterday and said otherwise. It was so distressing. So Mike wanted to take me out to dinner. To take my mind off it.

He said anywhere I wanted to go! But I couldn’t think of anywhere and I wasn’t feeling hungry because I was so upset. So instead he asked, “OK, where DON’T you want to go & I’ll surprise you!” Sadly I thought of a long list of “no’s” haahaa. So he picked me up and we drove~~ Drove to a new area I’ve never even been before.

He drove us to this establishment of the Clyde’s Restaurants nestled between these big office parks! I had no idea it was even there! It was all old school lodge/cabin style. It was really nice and the food, TO DIE FOR. I only knew of the Clyde’s in Georgetown, Chevy Chase, and have only been to the Old Ebbit Grill in downtown DC. This particular one was even better! Seriously one of the best restaurant experieces we’ve had in a long, long time. Good food, atmosphere, and service!

The Food
Started off with a cold Peach and Cantaloupe soup garnished with mint!
Next was my entree of Eggplant Parmesan!
I haven’t had GOOD eggplant parm in a long, long time. This was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Ended with the Cherry Chocolate Crunch. Basically cherry cobbler with a chocolate oatmeal cookie baked inside topped with vanilla ice cream!

They gave us a really nice booth, it felt really private and far from the other tables which I truly appreciated.

Also THERE WERE NO KIDS! It never fails, you could be at a 60$ plate restaurant and DC people still bring their bratty kids! But I think because this establishment was nestled away that only knowledgeable adults know of it. That or they put kids in a separate dining room. They have 3 dining rooms here. One is by reservation only and has a gorgeous view of wooded areas.
